To Aunt Jordan...

OK - so I got an ear full from my sister because she was the only one in my family without a picture of her and Bennett on the blog. SO - here's a pic of Bennett with his Aunt Jordan.

Speaking of Jordan, I should mention the competition that my sisters have going on between them. I have 5 sisters. We are all very close, which was so fun growing up, and even more fun now as adults. Anyway, each of my sisters is vying to be the "favorite aunt". They will come over or do something special for Bennett and after they do it, they'll whisper in his ear, "now, I'M your favorite aunt, you remember that." To which I say, "you're ALL his favorite... gee, no fighting people!" Ah, the life of being the only grandchild in the family ... so rough.

I should also post a picture of Bennett in his outfit he wore to church on Sunday. I thought he looked so cute! Thanks to his friend, Tag for letting us borrow it!

Bennett's first vacation, part 2

My sisters actually convinced my mom to get on this ride! It swings you out over a very deep canyon. I have never heard my mom scream so loud! My parents

Bennett's first vacation

At the end of July, my side of the family took a vacation to Breckenridge, CO. It was the first vacation we had taken with Bennett and we didn't know at all what to expect. Bennett did awesome! He chilled in his carseat during the 14 hour drive there, sleeping most of the time. The other part of the time, he was entertained by his crazy aunts, Jordan and Anna. It was hilarious the things they did to keep him from fussing! It worked though! There were 12 of us that went on the trip, so it took 2 minivans packed to the brim to fit us all in! We had a great time and got to do a lot of things because the weather was very nice! Almost too hot for Colorado during the day, but the evenings were cool. It was some good family time. Here are some pics...

Happy 4 Months, Bennett ... here's your shot!

Bennett is 4 months old today! I can NOT believe it's been that long since he was born! He's grown so much in the past few weeks... he's becoming a little chunk! To celebrate, Phil took off work and we went to the doctor to get Bennett's shots. I was dreading today because the last time Bennett had shots, they were horrible. I can't get that panicked, helpless, hurt look that he gave me out of my mind. My mom went with me at his 2 month appointment and we both had tears in our eyes after his shots! So, today I was nervous. I did not want that mean lady with the needle to touch my son!! (just kidding... the lady is very nice, but she'd be even nicer if she didn't have to poke Bennett.) I have to say that these shots he got today were not as bad as last time. He cried... and he cried pretty hard and you could tell they hurt him, but the look on his face was not as heartbreaking as the last time. Hopefully they get better each time!

Road trip

My mom and I took Bennett to Shawnee to help move Molly in to school. We had a good time hanging out with her and her roomies and setting up their new space. The apartment is very nice, freshly renovated with new furniture and carpet! (Wish they'd have had it that nice when I lived there!!) Before coming back home, we went to Starbucks to visit Aunt Abby.
Bennett loves coffee!!
We all had a great time...

Have fun at school, Molly!

Drop by...

The 3 of us were out and about on Sunday afternoon and decided to drop by my parent's house. There were no complaints that we stopped by with no notice... since we brought Bennett! He is definitely spoiled by being the only grandchild right now. He is ooed and awed over by all the aunts, grandparents, and don't forget Uncle Connor... Bennett is wearing a bib that says "My uncle loves me!" Hilarious! Bennett playing with Uncle Connor and Aunt MollyMolly is so pretty!
Gammy and Bennett, who is laughing as Auntie Anna tickles him!
Happy boy!

I love my Exersaucer!

Thanks to Aunt Amy, Bennett's having so much fun in his Exersaucer. The box says it is good for babies beginning at 4 months. When he was 3 months and 1 week, Phil decided to put him in it. He did pretty well and it was so cute! The next day I went to pick him up from the church nursery, and there he was sitting in the Exersaucer! It's a good thing Phil let him try it out the day before! Bennett's so advanced! :)

His legs are TOO cute! :) And getting chunkier by the day, I might add!

Happy Birthday, Auntie Anna!

All of us went to dinner to celebrate Anna's special day! We all love Anna so much... she's an awesome nurse, a loyal friend and a wonderful sister! (Mom and Dad were there too, they just didn't get in the pic!)
Auntie Anna loves Bennett! She had to hold him on her birthday!
